The Anchorage Bucs jump on the Matsu Miners early and coast to 12-3 win

The Anchorage Bucs (10-3) shut the door early on the Matsu Miners (7-4), capturing a 12-3 victory on Saturday at Mulcahy Field.

With 10 runs in the first three innings, the Anchorage Bucs left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

and a wild pitch during the first inning and an RBI double by Cade Reiten and an RBI double by Andy Crowley in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Anchorage Bucs.

Crowley racked up five RBIs on four hits for the Anchorage Bucs.

Jimmy Lambert put together a nice outing. Lambert gave up just two hits, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one during his three innings of work.

Cameron Frost was solid at the plate for the Matsu Miners. Frost went 2-5, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the third inning and homered in the sixth inning.

Alex Godzak got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed three runs over four innings. He struck out seven, walked one and surrendered five hits.

Ryan Hendrix was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
