A walk-off from Johnny Sewald brought home the winning run for the Orleans Firebirds (22-14) in a 1-0 victory over the Cotuit Kettleers in 11 innings at Eldredge Park on Saturday.

Sewald got on base four times in the game for the Orleans Firebirds. He also drove in one runner. He singled in the sixth inning.

Jerry McClanahan reached base five times in the game for the Orleans Firebirds. He singled in the seventh inning.

Bobby Poyner brought the heat against the Cotuit Kettleers (16-21) during his outing. Poyner held the Cotuit Kettleers hitless over three innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

Jacob Cronenworth recorded his first win of the year for the Orleans Firebirds. Cronenworth struck out three, walked none and gave up two hits.

Travis Duke (0-2) took the loss for the Cotuit Kettleers. He lasted just one inning, walked one, struck out none, and allowed one run.
