The Orleans Firebirds (21-13) beat the Harwich Mariners (21-13) 4-3 but needed 11 innings to do so on Wednesday at Whitehouse Field.

The Harwich Mariners' lineup had no answer for Bobby Dalbec. The Harwich Mariners managed just three hits off of Dalbec, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his four innings of work.

Hayden Stone improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Orleans Firebirds. He allowed one run over two innings. He struck out one, walked one and surrendered two hits.

Seth McGarry ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
