AJ Murray drove in three runs as the Chatham Anglers (14-16) took home a 4-2 victory over the Brewster Whitecaps (11-20) at Stony Brook on Friday.
He homered in the fifth inning and singled in the ninth inning.Jordan Hillyer got the win for the Chatham Anglers thanks to seven strikeouts. Hillyer allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks over six innings.
It was a good day at the plate for the Brewster Whitecaps' Scott Kingery. Kingery went 2-4 and scored one run. He singled in the third and sixth innings.
Kenneth Oakley was charged with his third loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked two, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
