The Orleans Firebirds (18-11) rolled over the Bourne Braves 7-0 on Thursday at Eldredge Park after a six-run rally in the sixth inning.

The Orleans Firebirds scored in the sixth on a two-run double by Edwin Rios, an RBI single by RJ Ybarra, an RBI double by Mitchell Tolman, and a two-run double by Cole Peragine.

Rios racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Orleans Firebirds.

Trent Thornton put together a nice outing. Thornton gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out six during his five innings of work.

A bright spot for the Bourne Braves (19-11) in the defeat was Jimmy Herget, who allowed only two runs while striking out six.

Eric Hanhold improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Orleans Firebirds. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Herget (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher.
