The Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox (12-13) and the Brewster Whitecaps (9-16) both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-1 win at Red Wilson Field.

Jesse Jenner racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He homered in the fourth inning and singled in the second and eighth innings.

The Brewster Whitecaps' lineup had no answer for Phil Bickford. The Brewster Whitecaps managed just two hits off of the the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Walker Buehler improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Yarmouth-Dennis Red Sox. He allowed one run over five innings. He struck out two, walked one and surrendered six hits.

Zach Morris ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed two runs.
