Logan Taylor went 1-4 and hit a home run, helping the Cotuit Kettleers (9-9) to a 6-2 victory over the Hyannis Harbor Hawks (10-8) on Friday at McKeon Park.
He homered in the eighth inning.The Cotuit Kettleers got the win thanks in large part to Vincent Fiori's dominant, seven-strikeout performance. Fiori allowed one earned run on three hits and one walk over five innings.
The Cotuit Kettleers had no answer for Nick Deeg, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Deeg gave up just one hit, allowed one earned run, walked two and struck out three during his five innings of work.
Deeg (1-1) took the loss for the Hyannis Harbor Hawks.
