Kyle Barrett collected three hits, sparking the Harwich Mariners (10-3) to a 4-1 victory over the Wareham Gatemen (4-9) on Tuesday at Whitehouse Field.

Jacob Evans brought the heat against the Wareham Gatemen during his outing. The Wareham Gatemen managed just one hit off of Evans, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his 2 2/3 innings of work.

Brock Downey pitched lights out for the Wareham Gatemen. Downey held the Harwich Mariners hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out one.

Michael Boyle improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Harwich Mariners. He allowed one run over five innings. Boyle struck out five, walked one and gave up seven hits.

Ryan Olson (0-1) took the loss for the Wareham Gatemen. He lasted just 3 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
