The Wareham Gatemen (4-8) beat the Chatham Anglers (5-6) 7-6 in seven innings on Sunday at Spillane Field behind Willie Calhoun, who collected three hits.
He doubled in the first inning and singled in the third and fourth innings.Drew Harrington put together a nice outing. The Chatham Anglers managed just three hits off of the the Wareham Gatemen's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his five innings of work.
Chris Shaw put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Chatham Anglers. He homered in the seventh inning.
Garrett Williams (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked one, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
