Kolton Mahoney held the Wareham Gatemen (3-7) scoreless for six innings to boost the Orleans Firebirds (5-5) to a 7-0 victory.

Mahoney struck out six and allowed three walks and two hits.

The Orleans Firebirds blew out the Wareham Gatemen thanks to nine hits, including zero extra base hits. The Orleans Firebirds scored three runs in the seventh on the Orleans Firebirds scored in the seventh on an RBI double by Timmy Robinson and a two-run single by Mitchell Tolman.

David Thompson had two extra-base hits for the Orleans Firebirds. He doubled in the second and fourth innings.

Kyle Cody (0-2) took the loss for the Wareham Gatemen. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out one, and allowed three runs.
