The Pittsfield Suns outdone by Davis and the Seacoast Mavericks, 5-3

Story by Narrative Science.

The Seacoast Mavericks (18-18) beat the Pittsfield Suns (21-15) 5-3 on Thursday at Leary Field behind Dalton Davis, who knocked in four runs.

He homered in the third innings.

The Pittsfield Suns had no answer for Josh Martin, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Martin held the Pittsfield Suns hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two.

The Seacoast Mavericks couldn't get anything going as long as Austin Salintis was pitching. Salintis gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Michael Driscoll got the win, running his season record to 4-1. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.

Oliver Collette ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just six innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
