The Marthas Vineyard Sharks make the most of 7 hits in 6-4 victory over the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs

Both the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (19-16) and the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (12-22) put runners aboard on Thursday, but it was the Marthas Vineyard Sharks that were able to take advantage, pulling out a 6-4 win at Vineyard Baseball Park.

Jack Roberts racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He singled in the third and fifth innings.

Matt Binder pitched lights out for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs managed just two hits off of Binder, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out five during his two innings of work.

Richard Fecteau got a hit in each of his three at bats. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Max Slade improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. Slade struck out three, walked none and gave up one hit.

Jon Silva was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked two, struck out one, and allowed one run.
