The Seacoast Mavericks make the most of 9 hits in 7-4 victory over the Marthas Vineyard Sharks

The Seacoast Mavericks (11-11) and the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (10-11) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Seacoast Mavericks that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 7-4 win at Vineyard Baseball Park.

Ryan Gendron was hot from the plate for the Seacoast Mavericks. Gendron went 2-4, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the first inning and homered in the third inning.

James Vernon put together a nice outing. The Marthas Vineyard Sharks managed just one hit off of Vernon, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his two innings of work.

Brian Campbell racked up three RBIs on two hits for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Joshua Jacques recorded his first win of the year for the Seacoast Mavericks. He allowed four runs over seven innings. He struck out six, walked none and surrendered 12 hits.

Max Bruckner couldn't get it done on the hill for the Marthas Vineyard Sharks, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked one, struck out six, and allowed five runs.
