A five-run eighth inning sealed an 11-4 win for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (9-13) over the Brockton Rox (15-8) on Saturday at Campanelli Stadium.

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs scored in the eighth on an RBI single by Mike Corin, an RBI single by Austin Botts, a two-run single by Kurtis White, and a solo home run by Joe Breen.

Botts racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs.

Apolinar De La Cruz reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the sixth inning.

Jon Silva recorded his first win of the year for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. Silva struck out one, walked two and gave up no hits.

Matt Coppens was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 2 1/3 innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs easily handled the Brockton Rox pitching as six hitters combined for 14 hits, 11 RBIs and 11 runs scored.
