The Nashua Silver Knights make the most of 7 hits in 8-3 victory over the North Shore Navigators

The Nashua Silver Knights (9-9) and the North Shore Navigators (7-14) both had scoring chances on Thursday, but it was the Nashua Silver Knights that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out an 8-3 win at Holman Stadium.

Carson Helms had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He homered in the third inning and doubled in the fourth inning.

The Nashua Silver Knights relied on Mike Geannelis to eat up innings en route to the win. Geannelis pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, five hits and two walks while striking out three.

Despite the loss, the North Shore Navigators' Steve Xirinachs dominated the Nashua Silver Knights' batters, giving up zero runs and striking out six.

Kyle Gauthier was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in three innings, walked two and struck out one.

The Nashua Silver Knights were sparked by Michael Pierson and Helms, who teamed up for three hits and four RBIs.
