Tyler Fortanascio went 1-4 and hit a home run, sparking the Seacoast Mavericks (8-10) to a 4-1 victory over the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (10-8) on Tuesday at Vineyard Baseball Park.

Austin French had an impressive outing against the Marthas Vineyard Sharks' lineup. The Marthas Vineyard Sharks managed just two hits off of French, who allowed one earned run, walked three and struck out six during his six innings of work.

Matt Quintana was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the Seacoast Mavericks batters and allowing two runs.

Quintana was charged with his first loss of the year.
