The North Shore Navigators make the most of 2 hits in 5-2 victory over the Marthas Vineyard Sharks

The North Shore Navigators (5-10) and the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (8-5) both threatened with rallies, but it was the North Shore Navigators that eventually took advantage of them in a 5-2 win at Vineyard Baseball Park.

Steve Xirinachs pitched lights out for the North Shore Navigators. The Marthas Vineyard Sharks managed just two hits off of Xirinachs, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out four during his three innings of work.

Jacob DeCarli was effective even in defeat, mowing down five the North Shore Navigators batters and allowing two runs.

Kyle Gauthier got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed two runs over six innings. Gauthier struck out three, walked two and gave up six hits.

Matt Calamoneri was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just 1 1/3 innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
