Brendan Cox went 2-4, sparking the Marthas Vineyard Sharks (6-4) to an 8-6 victory over the Torrington Titans (5-7) on Tuesday at Fuessenich Park.

Kyle Brenner brought the heat against the Torrington Titans during his outing. The Torrington Titans managed just two hits off of the the Marthas Vineyard Sharks' pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.

RJ Going led the Torrington Titans' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the third inning.

The Marthas Vineyard Sharks had no answer for Kevin Connolly, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Marthas Vineyard Sharks managed just one hit off of Connolly, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his 3 1/3 innings of work.
