Corin's big day not enough as the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs fall to the North Shore Navigators, 18-16

Mike Corin clubbed two home runs, but it wasn't enough to carry the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (3-8) to a win on Tuesday, as the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs fell to the North Shore Navigators (4-9) 18-16 at Doyle Field.

Stanley Susana rocked the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs with two home runs. Susana went 3-5 in the game with five RBIs and two runs scored. Susana homered in the fourth and sixth innings.

The two teams combined for 34 runs and 35 hits, including zero extra base hits. Both bullpens were busy with 10 pitchers used in the game as the skippers of both squads tried to finish it off.

The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs had no answer for Brady Wright, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Wachusett Dirt Dawgs managed just one hit off of Wright, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out three during his two innings of work.

Evan Mackintosh (0-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just one inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.

The North Shore Navigators easily handled the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs pitching as six hitters combined for 15 hits, 13 RBIs and 15 runs scored.
