The Nashua Silver Knights (5-4) beat the Pittsfield Suns (5-5) 11-1 on Sunday at Wahconah Park after an eight-run explosion in the third inning.
The Nashua Silver Knights scored in the third on a two-run double by Jimmy Ricoy, a fielder's choice, an RBI single by Joe Napolitano, an RBI single by Napolitano, an RBI single by Cameron DiSarcina, and a two-run double by Matt Sanchez.
The Nashua Silver Knights were led by Napolitano's hitting. Napolitano went 4-6, drove in one and scored two runs.
Tim Viehoff put together a nice outing. Viehoff gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out five during his five innings of work.
Mike Marshall was charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed eight runs in 2 1/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.
