It was a good day at the plate for the Seacoast Mavericks' Martin Tavares. Tavares went 3-4 and scored one run. He doubled in the first inning and singled in the fourth and sixth innings.
Charlie Butler got the win, running his season record to 2-0. He allowed one run over four innings. Butler struck out two, walked none and gave up four hits.
Joshua Jacques ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked one, struck out five, and allowed three runs.
