Ramage helps the Worcester Bravehearts down the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs 7-2

Darian Ramage went 2-4 and hit a home run as the Worcester Bravehearts (6-0) took home a 7-2 victory over the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs (2-3) at Doyle Field on Tuesday.

He singled in the second inning and homered in the ninth inning.

The Worcester Bravehearts relied on Kyle Slinger to eat up innings en route to the win. Slinger pitched 6 2/3 innings and allowed one earned run, four hits and one walk while striking out five.

Mattingly Romanin was hot from the plate for the Wachusett Dirt Dawgs. Romanin went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the eighth inning.

The Worcester Bravehearts had no answer for Dan Ditusa, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Worcester Bravehearts managed just two hits off of Ditusa, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Akaash Agarwal was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just two innings, walked one, struck out one, and allowed five runs.
