The Worcester Bravehearts (19-10) refused to relinquish the lead after grabbing it early against the Seacoast Mavericks (16-14), recording a 15-6 victory on Sunday at Fitton Field.

Seven runs in the first three innings allowed the Worcester Bravehearts to put the game away early.

An RBI single by Andy Lack, an RBI double by Nick Nunziato, a two-run single by Shane Sandoval, and an RBI single by Jordan Berry in the first inning supplied the early offense for the Worcester Bravehearts.

Ian Strom had three extra-base hits for the Worcester Bravehearts. He doubled in the second and seventh innings and homered in the eighth inning.

Martin Tavares reached base four times in the game for the Seacoast Mavericks. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the eighth inning and singled in the fourth and ninth innings.

Chris Dious improved to 1-1 on the year by picking up the win for the Worcester Bravehearts. He allowed one run over 2 1/3 innings. He struck out four, walked none and surrendered three hits.

Matt Wynne (1-2) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed seven runs in three innings, walked two and struck out four.

The Worcester Bravehearts' Strom, TJ Riccio, Nunziato and Dylan Harris combined for 11 hits and seven RBIs.
