The Top Speed Baseball (26-4) pounded the Atwater Aviators (13-18) on Saturday 9-0 at Drake High in seven innings.

A groundout by Garrett Everhart and a three-run home run by Ricky Rodriguez Jr. helped the Top Speed Baseball score four runs in the fourth. The Top Speed Baseball had two hits in the inning.

Rodriguez Jr. racked up three RBIs on three hits for the Top Speed Baseball.

Chris Gomez pitched lights out for the Top Speed Baseball. Gomez gave up just three hits, allowed no earned runs, walked two and struck out two during his five innings of work.

Brent Backlund (5-1) took the loss for the Atwater Aviators. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked two and struck out four.
