The Edmonds escape the Skagit Valley behind Kemmerer's 8 strikeouts, 8-0

An impressive effort by Andrew Kemmerer spurred the Edmonds (30-7) to an 8-0 win over the Skagit Valley (16-20) on Friday at Skagit Valley.

Kemmerer kept the Skagit Valley off the board during his seven innings of work. Kemmerer struck out eight and allowed two walks and two hits.

The Edmonds blew out the Skagit Valley thanks to 14 hits, including zero extra base hits. A three-run home run by Ryan Budnick helped the Edmonds score three runs in the third. The Edmonds had three hits in the inning.

Budnick racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Edmonds.

TYLER HOWLETT was charged with his fourth loss of the year. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked none and struck out four.
