Brielle Bray carried the Bellevue (26-13) to a 9-0 victory over the Skagit Valley on Saturday at Bellevue College- Softball Fiel with a strong game at the plate and on the mound.
Bray racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Bellevue. He doubled in the fourth inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Bray held the Skagit Valley (11-29) scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no opposing players to cross the plate on three hits while ringing up six.
The Bellevue blew out the Skagit Valley thanks to 11 hits, including zero extra base hits. A home run by Bray helped the Bellevue score four runs in the fifth. The Bellevue had three hits in the inning.
Holly Hawkins ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his fourteenth loss of the year. He allowed nine runs in four innings, walked five and struck out one.
