The River City Rascals (60-35) and the Florence Freedom (41-54) both had scoring chances on Wednesday, but it was the River City Rascals that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 6-4 win at UC Health Stadium.

Hector Crespo paced the River City Rascals at the plate. Crespo went 3-4, drove in one and scored one run. He tripled in the second inning and singled in the fourth and eighth innings.

Sam Eberle paced the Florence Freedom at the plate. Eberle went 3-5, drove in one and scored two runs. He homered in the third inning and singled in the first and seventh innings.

Tommy Mendoza improved to 9-3 on the year by picking up the win for the River City Rascals. He allowed three runs over five innings. Mendoza struck out two, walked one and gave up eight hits.

Peter Gehle couldn't get it done on the hill for the Florence Freedom, taking a loss. He lasted just six innings, walked three, struck out two, and allowed four runs.
