Gerard Hall knocked in three runs, helping the Schaumburg Boomers (49-34) to a 4-3 victory over the Normal CornBelters (42-40) on Wednesday at The Corn Crib.

The Normal CornBelters couldn't get anything going as long as Justin Erasmus was pitching. The Normal CornBelters managed just two hits off of Erasmus, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Mike Schwartz did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Normal CornBelters, reaching base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He homered in the fourth inning.

Chris Carmain had an impressive outing against the Schaumburg Boomers' lineup. Carmain held the Schaumburg Boomers hitless over two innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two.

Cal Bowling recorded his seventh win of the year for the Schaumburg Boomers. He allowed three runs over five innings. Bowling struck out two, walked two and gave up five hits.

Bobby Shore (4-6) took the loss for the Normal CornBelters. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out six, and allowed four runs.
