Fans were treated to a high-scoring affair Wednesday as the Schaumburg Boomers (38-26) outscored the Traverse City Beach Bums (24-40) 12-9.

The two teams combined for 27 hits in the game.

Ty Nelson racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Schaumburg Boomers. He doubled in the fourth inning and singled in the fifth and eighth innings.

Jose Vargas racked up five RBIs on three hits for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He singled in the first, third, and fourth innings.

Danny Jimenez recorded his sixth win for the Schaumburg Boomers even though he allowed seven runs over seven innings. He struck out eight, walked one and surrendered 10 hits.

Cameron Giannini (0-1) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He lasted just zero innings, walked none, struck out none, and allowed four runs.
