Ryan Zimmerman hopes every outing could go as well as Saturday, as Zimmerman struck out seven batters to carry the Rockford Aviators (27-33) to a 3-1 victory over the Florence Freedom (25-33) at UC Health Stadium.

Tanner Witt got on base four times in the game for the Rockford Aviators. He singled in the third, fourth, and eighth innings.

Chuck Weaver (4-5) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked four, struck out six, and allowed three runs.
