A walk-off double from Tyger Pederson brought home the winning run for the Rockford Aviators (24-29) in a 4-3 victory over the Schaumburg Boomers (30-24) in 10 innings at Aviator Stadium on Saturday.
Pederson led the Rockford Aviators' offensive threat, as he got on base three times in the game. He also drove in one runner. He doubled in the tenth inning.
The Rockford Aviators were led by Jeff Kremer's hitting. Kremer went 3-5 and drove in one. He singled in the first and fifth innings and doubled in the seventh inning.
Joey Wagman handled the Schaumburg Boomers' lineup with ease, racking up 11 strikeouts. Wagman allowed three earned runs on six hits and one walk over nine innings.
Matt Frahm got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He struck out two, walked none and surrendered one hit.
Dexter Price (2-4) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed one run.
