An impressive effort by Taylor Ard lifted the River City Rascals (31-18) to a 4-3 win over the Windy City ThunderBolts (17-32) on Saturday at T. R. Hughes Ballpark.

Ard hit two home runs for the River City Rascals. Ard went 3-4 in the game with three RBIs and two runs scored. Ard homered in the sixth and eighth innings.

The Windy City ThunderBolts couldn't get anything going as long as Nick Kennedy was pitching. The Windy City ThunderBolts managed just one hit off of Kennedy, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 1/3 innings of work.

Ryan Soares had two extra-base hits for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He doubled in the fourth and sixth innings.

Patrick Crider recorded his second win of the year for the River City Rascals. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Victor Larez (2-3) took the loss for the Windy City ThunderBolts. He lasted just one-third of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed two runs.
