Zac Fuesser kept the Florence Freedom (21-26) off the board during his six innings of work and the Washington Wild Things (30-19) beat the Florence Freedom, 3-2.

Fuesser struck out four and allowed three walks and two hits.

Scott Kalamar was solid at the plate for the Washington Wild Things. Kalamar went 2-4, drove in one and scored two runs. He singled in the first inning and homered in the fifth inning.

Casey Henn couldn't get it done on the mound for the Florence Freedom, taking a loss. He lasted just 6 2/3 innings, walked three, struck out six, and allowed two runs.
