The bats were busy at T. R. Hughes Ballpark on Friday, and when the dust cleared the River City Rascals (16-9) had a 9-8 win over the Traverse City Beach Bums (11-15).

Taylor Ard racked up two RBIs on three hits for the River City Rascals. He homered in the first inning and singled in the second and ninth innings.
Patrick Crider put together a nice outing. Crider held the Traverse City Beach Bums hitless over 1 1/3 innings, allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out three.
Gabriel Shaw recorded his second win of the year for the River City Rascals. He struck out none, walked none and surrendered no hits.
Chris Bossenbery (0-1) took the loss for the Traverse City Beach Bums. He lasted just zero innings, walked two, struck out none, and allowed one run.
