Madison Beaird drove in three runs as the Gateway Grizzlies (13-6) took home a 7-3 victory over the Rockford Aviators (8-10) at GCS Ballpark on Thursday.

Edgar Corcino got on base three times in the game for the Rockford Aviators. He doubled in the second inning and singled in the fourth inning.

Chris DeBoo improved to 1-0 on the year by picking up the win for the Gateway Grizzlies. He struck out none, walked one and surrendered one hit.

Michael Schaub (1-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He lasted just 1 2/3 innings, walked two, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
