The Douglas (9-12) pounded the Shoreline (5-19) on Sunday 8-1 at Meridian.

The Douglas scored four runs in the fourth on a two-run triple by Colby Rossi, an RBI single by Garrett Belanger, and an RBI double by Mike Orosz.

Rossi racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Douglas.

Jamie Whitehead's five strikeouts were enough to push the Douglas past the Shoreline. Whitehead allowed one earned run, five hits and four walks over six innings.

Brad Bennett ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his sixth loss of the year. He lasted just five innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed five runs.
