The Douglas (15-4) and the Skagit Valley (8-23) both had scoring chances on Saturday, but it was the Douglas that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 3-2 win at Skagit Valley.
Tori Belton struck out six hitters en route to the the Douglas win. Belton allowed two earned runs on eight hits and two walks over seven innings.
Holly Hawkins (2-11) took the loss for the Skagit Valley. He lasted just seven innings, walked one, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
