The Yorkton Cardinals (11-16) and the Weyburn Beavers (11-18) both had scoring chances on Friday, but it was the Yorkton Cardinals that were able to capitalize on them as they pulled out a 5-3 win at Tom Laing Park.

The Yorkton Cardinals' Kameron Mizzell was perfect at the dish, going 3-3. He singled in the first, third, and fifth innings.

Angel Concepcion did his best to jumpstart the offense for the Weyburn Beavers, reaching base three times. He singled in the first and fifth innings.

Vin Whitenight got the win, running his season record to 2-2. He struck out one, walked none and surrendered no hits.

Toby Eigner (2-1) took the loss for the Weyburn Beavers. He lasted just two-thirds of an inning, walked none, struck out none, and allowed no runs.
