Matt Spillman went 2-3 as the Swift Current Indians (8-9) took home a 3-2 victory over the Moose Jaw Miller Express (11-7) at Mitchell Field on Thursday.

Peter Irvin picked up the win for the Swift Current Indians. Irvin pitched seven innings and allowed two earned runs, six hits and one walk while striking out one.

A bright spot for the Moose Jaw Miller Express in the defeat was Brandon Acosta, who allowed only three runs while striking out five.

It was a good day at the plate for the Moose Jaw Miller Express' Ben Douglas. Douglas went 1-4, drove in one and scored one run. He homered in the second inning.

Acosta (2-1) was the game's losing pitcher.
