The Pierce (21-16) shut the door early on the South Puget Sound (0-30), capturing a 12-2 victory on Tuesday at Heritage Recreation Center.

With nine runs in the first three innings, the Pierce left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A sacrifice fly by Maddy Smith during the first inning and , a fielder's choice, a three-run home run by Corrine Luke, an RBI double by Molly LaMotte, a two-run single by Brittanie Halquist, and a three-run single by Halquist in the second inning supplied the early offense for the Pierce.

Karlee Rose Perry racked up two RBIs on two hits for the Pierce. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fourth inning.
