The Spokane (15-13) beat the Wenatchee Valley 11-4 on Saturday at Spokane Falls Community College after a six-run explosion in the fifth inning.
Daniel Rowton reached base four times in the game for the Spokane. He scored two runs and had two RBIs. He singled in the fifth and sixth innings.
The Spokane got the win thanks in large part to Blake Phelps's dominant, seven-strikeout performance. Phelps allowed no earned runs on three hits and four walks over six innings.
Despite the loss, the Wenatchee Valley (11-17)'s Kyle Blankenship dominated the Spokane's batters, giving up three runs and striking out five.
