Clayten Ayres collected four hits, helping the Walla Walla (22-5) to a 9-6 victory over the Wenatchee Valley (11-18) on Wednesday at Paul Thomas Sr. Stadium.

It was a good day at the plate for the Wenatchee Valley's Ryan Roth. Roth went 3-4 and scored two runs. He doubled in the sixth inning and singled in the second and eighth innings.

Even though Jesse Houser allowed five runs over six innings he still recorded the victory, his seventh of the season. He struck out seven, walked three and surrendered seven hits.

Evan Johnson (0-1) was the game's losing pitcher. He allowed six runs in five innings, walked four and struck out one.
