Early lead gives the Mt. Hood easy victory over the Lower Columbia, 11-0

The Mt. Hood (27-0) jumped out to an early lead on the Lower Columbia (16-11) and captured an 11-0 victory on Saturday at Tam O' Shanter Park.

With six runs in the first three innings, the Mt. Hood left no doubt about the eventual outcome.

A two-run home run by Morgan Entze in the second inning fueled the Mt. Hood's offense early.

Entze put himself in scoring position with two extra-base hits for the Mt. Hood.

Kristen Crawford held the Lower Columbia scoreless during his five innings of work. He pitched a shutout, allowing no runs on four hits while striking out six.

Amber Gilbert couldn't get it done on the hill for the Lower Columbia, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in 2 2/3 innings, walked one and struck out one.
