Naoki Imoto both hit and pitched well for the Olympic (6-24), but it wasn't enough as the Olympic fell to the Douglas (13-12) 6-4 at Whalley Little League Park on Saturday.
Imoto reached base two times. He scored one run and had one RBI. He doubled in the ninth inning.
Imoto had an impressive outing against the Douglas' lineup. Imoto held the Douglas hitless over one inning, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out one.
Brandon Chernoff improved to 1-2 on the year by picking up the win for the Douglas. He allowed two runs over five innings. Chernoff struck out three, walked two and gave up four hits.
Ty Donahou couldn't get it done on the rubber for the Olympic, taking a loss. He allowed six runs in seven innings, walked two and struck out four.
