Chris Weik went 2-4 as the Olympic (4-18) took home a 3-2 victory over the Edmonds (19-3) in seven innings at Kitsap County Fairgrounds on Monday.
He singled in the second and fourth innings.Cody Apilado had an impressive outing against the Edmonds' lineup. The Edmonds managed just one hit off of the the Olympic's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his 2 1/3 innings of work.
It was a good day at the plate for the Edmonds' Ryan Archibald. Archibald went 2-3, drove in one and scored one run. He singled in the second inning and homered in the fifth inning.
Chris Uzzell got the win, running his season record to 1-0. He allowed two runs over 4 2/3 innings. Uzzell struck out one, walked none and gave up three hits.
Colin Samuelson III (2-2) took the loss for the Edmonds. He lasted just five innings, walked two, struck out two, and allowed three runs.
