A superb effort by Cheyenne Barger lifted the Treasure Valley (14-9) to a 15-5 win in five innings over the Blue Mountain (3-15) on Tuesday at Heinz/Ore-Ida Regional Softball.

Barger rocked the Blue Mountain with two home runs. Barger went 4-4 in the game with four RBIs and four runs scored. Barger homered in the third and fifth innings.

Eleven runs in the first three innings helped the Treasure Valley blow out the Blue Mountain. An RBI single by Barger, an RBI single by Ambrea Cuellar, and a two-run single by Bailey Bennett in the first inning and an RBI single by Barger, an RBI single by Haylee Hathorn, a two-run single by Laken Gobel, and a two-run single by Jodie Hoagland during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Treasure Valley.

Savanna Zarate racked up four RBIs on two hits for the Blue Mountain. He homered in the first inning and singled in the third inning.

Even though Bennett allowed five runs over five innings he still recorded the victory, his sixth of the season. Bennett struck out two, walked three and gave up seven hits.

Nicole Brown was charged with his eleventh loss of the year. He allowed 15 runs in four innings, walked three and struck out four.
