Early lead gives the Treasure Valley easy victory over the Wenatchee Valley, 10-3

The Treasure Valley (24-8) jumped out to an early lead on the Wenatchee Valley (11-20) and captured a 10-3 victory on Saturday at Elks Memorial .

The game was decided quickly as the Treasure Valley exerted their will early with six runs in the first three innings.

An RBI double by Westin Hinkle, a groundout by Matt Bryan, a groundout by Bryan, a double by Chase Hernandez, a single by Aaron Alexander, , and an error during the second inning supplied the early offense for the Treasure Valley.

Hinkle had two extra-base hits for the Treasure Valley.

Tanner Lupton kept contact to a minimum, striking out nine the Wenatchee Valley batters. Lupton allowed two earned runs on three hits and two walks over five innings.

The Treasure Valley had no answer for Grubb, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. The Treasure Valley managed just one hit off of the the Wenatchee Valley's pitcher, who allowed no earned runs, walked one and struck out two during his three innings of work.

Cory Geiffers ended up on the wrong side of the pitching decision, charged with his first loss of the year. He allowed six runs in three innings, walked one and struck out two.

The Treasure Valley were sparked by Bryan and Hinkle, who teamed up for seven hits and five RBIs.
