The Treasure Valley (19-5) continued to pile up the runs on Saturday, scoring five runs in the seventh inning, on the way to a 15-1 landslide win over the Spokane (14-10) at Spokane Falls Community College.
The Treasure Valley scored five runs in the seventh on an error, a three-run single by Colin Drury, and a solo home run by Chase Hernandez.
The Spokane were ahead early but they ultimately surrendered the lead for good. The Spokane led until the fourth inning, but the Treasure Valley took the lead back on a two-run single by Westin Hinkle.
Hernandez racked up five RBIs on two hits for the Treasure Valley.
Tanner Lupton struck out seven, paving the way for a the Treasure Valley win. Lupton allowed one earned run, five hits and two walks over six innings.
Blake Phelps was charged with his first loss of the year. He lasted just four innings, walked three, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
