The Spokane (19-15) beat the Blue Mountain (5-28) 9-5 on Wednesday at Pendleton, OR behind Kyle Weiler, who collected three hits.
He doubled in the seventh inning and singled in the first and eighth innings.Kyle Murray put together a nice outing. The Blue Mountain managed just one hit off of Murray, who allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out six during his three innings of work.
Chris Gilbreaith had a busy day at the plate, collecting two extra-base hits. He singled in the fifth inning and doubled in the second and seventh innings.
Dean Gettman was charged with his second loss of the year. He lasted just three innings, walked two, struck out three, and allowed four runs.
