JJ Robinson had two extra base hits as the Walla Walla (24-7) took home an 8-3 victory over the Big Bend (17-15) at BBCC Baseball Field on Wednesday.
He homered in the fifth inning and doubled in the ninth inning.The Big Bend had no answer for AJ Carkner, who kept runners off the basepaths in his appearance. Carkner gave up just one hit, allowed no earned runs, walked none and struck out two during his three innings of work.
Reign Letkeman racked up two RBIs on three hits for the Big Bend. He singled in the first, fourth, and seventh innings.
Jesse Houser recorded his eighth win of the year for the Walla Walla. He allowed three runs over six innings. He struck out five, walked two and surrendered five hits.
Jordan Higley couldn't get it done on the mound for the Big Bend, taking a loss. He lasted just four innings, walked five, struck out one, and allowed four runs.
The Walla Walla were sparked by Robinson and Trevor Jones, who teamed up for four hits and two RBIs.
